Jambalaya

A delicious dish from Louisiana, full of flavor and depth. 


Prep time:  10 minutes

Cook time: 15 minutes

  • mixing spoons
Ingredients 
  • Creole Rice & Beans meal starter pouch
  • 2 ½ cups water

  • 1 (15-oz) can red beans, rinsed and drained
  • 1 (28-oz) can diced tomatoes
  • 2 cups frozen okra
  • 1 cup mixed peppers and onions

 

    Directions
    1. Add to a medium pot the pouch contents, along with the add-ins and mix well.
    2. Bring to a boil and simmer for 20-25 minutes. Add more water for preferred consistency.
