Mac and No Cheese

A traditional comfort food, with hearty whole wheat pasta tossed in a creamy cheesy sauce with peas or your favorite veggies.

Prep time:  10 minutes

Cook time: 20 minutes

Serves: 4


  • 1 Cheese Starter Pack 
  • 12 ounces macaroni noodles (brown rice or whole wheat)
  • 2 cups unsweetened plant-based milk 
  • ¼ teaspoon salt or to taste
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 cup peas, frozen or fresh (optional)
  • ½ cup Panko bread crumbs


    1. Preheat oven to 350°F (if baking).
    2. Cook the pasta noodles according to the packaged instructions. 
    3. Place the contents of the Cheese Starter Pack and unsweetened plant-based milk into a high-speed blender and blend until smooth and creamy.  
    4. Transfer the cheese sauce to a saucepan over medium heat and whisk continuously until thickened, about 3-5 minutes.  
    5. Combine the pasta noodles, cheese sauce, and peas in a casserole dish, and sprinkle with the Panko bread crumbs.
    6. Serve warm or bake, uncovered for 20-30 minutes or until golden brown and bubbly.


    • If you are looking for an even thicker sauce or added nutrients, add 1 cup of cooked butternut squash or 1 cup of cooked sweet potatoes to the blender when blending the cheese sauce.
