Mac and No Cheese
A traditional comfort food, with hearty whole wheat pasta tossed in a creamy cheesy sauce with peas or your favorite veggies.

Ingredients
- 1 Cheese Starter Pack
 - 12 ounces macaroni noodles (brown rice or whole wheat)
 - 2 cups unsweetened plant-based milk
 - ¼ teaspoon salt or to taste
 - ¼ teaspoon black pepper
 - 2 cup peas, frozen or fresh (optional)
 - ½ cup Panko bread crumbs
 
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (if baking).
 - Cook the pasta noodles according to the packaged instructions.
 - Place the contents of the Cheese Starter Pack and unsweetened plant-based milk into a high-speed blender and blend until smooth and creamy.
 - Transfer the cheese sauce to a saucepan over medium heat and whisk continuously until thickened, about 3-5 minutes.
 - Combine the pasta noodles, cheese sauce, and peas in a casserole dish, and sprinkle with the Panko bread crumbs.
 - Serve warm or bake, uncovered for 20-30 minutes or until golden brown and bubbly.
 
Hints
- If you are looking for an even thicker sauce or added nutrients, add 1 cup of cooked butternut squash or 1 cup of cooked sweet potatoes to the blender when blending the cheese sauce.
