We just turned a corner with the arrival of Spring here in North Carolina. Spring means sunshine and warmth, a burst of color, and best of all, March Madness! Yes, I love to play and watch basketball.
We are busy here, as usual, but also are in an especially interesting transition. We are working to raise one last round of equity financing from individual social impact investors, which we expect will carry PlantPure, Inc. into profitability. Simultaneously, we are exploring the creation of a new entity to spearhead our Healing America Campaign and media productions, structured in a way that would create funding for philanthropic initiatives aligned with our movement strategy.
I made the decision to launch PlantPure as a company because we needed to generate funds to support all we have done, and I am happy we made this decision. I am even more excited, though, that we may now have an opportunity to realize my earlier vision of creating a philanthropic engine to power our grassroots movement strategy.
I also would like to share the news that a short video we produced, edited by our talented editor Brian Olson, won the Sharing Care Award at a recent gala event in Atlanta, which was held to announce winners in the Sharecare Awards film competition, sponsored by the National Academy of Television Arts & Science and Sharecare. Our PlantPure video was selected as a finalist in its category and received the top honor of being selected by the public as the top video among all the finalists. This video focused on the first chapter of our Healing America Campaign and can be viewed here.
Hope you all are doing well. Until next time,
