Hope all of you are doing well.
We are introducing today a new newsletter format. We hope you find this easier to navigate. With this format, you can see our content at a glance and decide what you want to read.
For this week’s newsletter, I would like to draw your attention to a website launched by Dr. Jamie Koufman. She has an interesting story, which you can see under the “About Us” tab at DrCampbell4Nobel.org. Dr. Koufman launched this site to draw public attention to the idea that my father should be nominated for the Nobel Prize in Medicine.
I agree, of course, because it was my father who did much of the deep research that helped to validate the health benefits of a plant-based diet. He accomplished this despite enormous pushback from other scientists, industry representatives and government officials.
Not only is he deserving of this honor, but the world is deserving of the truth he fought so hard to discover and then communicate. While more and more people are learning this truth, we still have much work to do, and because of environmental issues, we may not have as much time as we think to make this change happen on a mass scale. I know of nothing that would advance our cause more effectively than a decision by the Nobel committee to recognize the truth of plant-based nutrition by awarding a Nobel Prize in Medicine to my father.
Dr. Koufman launched her petition to bring attention to this possibility, and perhaps increase the odds that this idea may reach key people involved in the Nobel nominating process. You can help her get the word out by reading, then sharing this petition with as many people as possible. Thanks for your support.
