We want to thank those of our PlantPure Nation members who helped Dustin Harder—actor, chef, and colorful host/creator of the Web series The Vegan Roadie (www.veganroadie.com)—reach his Kickstarter campaign goal and then some! Because his Kickstarter was successfully funded, Dustin will soon be packing up his pots and pans to head back out on the road to film season two of the show.
Dustin shares the same mission as PlantPure Nation—to spread the health and taste benefits of plant-based eating—and that’s why we were very happy to be one of his sponsors. In this plant-based version of Diners, Drive-ins and Dives, he uncovers amazing hidden places to eat out, cooks up some yummy recipes of his own, and offers tips for eating plant-based on the go. Check out the fun in season one on YouTube.
The latest news is that you may also have the unique opportunity to hobnob with this celebrity and top chef in the vegan world! Dustin needs to keep expenses down so he can spend more on press, so he’s looking for a few kind and generous people to offer him and his videographer a place to rest their heads for a few days while they’re on their cross-country tour (and unlike your relatives who come to visit, they promise not to bore you with tales of Aunt Mary and Uncle Fred!).
Most of their schedule is already lined up, but they still need a few hosts in:
Seattle, WA: April 2–7
San Antonio, TX: April 12–17
Kansas City, MO: June 5–9
Salt Lake City, UT: June 12–19
Vancouver, Canada: June 25–29
In case you’re wondering, they’re very low maintenance: All they need are two beds/couches, a place to shower, and a good Internet connection—no food, transportation, toothbrush, or shower cap necessary.
Think you can help, even if just for a few days? Email Dustin at email@example.com, and tell him PlantPure Nation sent you. He thanks you in advance!
I try not to be overly dramatic in my writing, but I think most of us would agree we live in troubled times. We might define these troubles differently, but most of us have this sense. Most distressing in my view, however, are not the actual problems we face, but our inability to work together to find their solutions.
